The Mercedes-Benz W221 S-Class is a successor to the W220. The "S Class" refers to the Sonderklasse or Special Class in English, and has been top of the line luxury sedan for Mercedes-Benz since early 1970s. The S600 is the top model of the class positioned above the S63 AMG model.
The S600 was produced by Mercedes-Benz in long-wheelbase version only, equipped with almost all extras and electronics known to German engineers at the time – including multi-contour driving dynamic seats with massage function, Nappa leather interior, Alcantara ceiling, Active Body Control and much-much more.
The bi-turbo V12 engine gives usable 380kw/517bhp at the toes of the driver. Even more impressive than the horsepower figure, an enormous 830Nm torque (available from as low as 1800 rpm) results in an unexpected performance for this solid 2-ton-plus limo, with a Porsche 911 Carrera (991 series) -beating 0-100kmh acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds.
Given its higher price tag (as new) than the Mercedes Benz S63 AMG, the S600 is a rather uncommon vehicle to meet on the street. If you want to drive a comparably quick car, which' exhaust roars in a more civilized manner and to avoid the preposterous AMG bodykit - the S600 is a decent option being able to go extremely fast, but also exceptionally relaxing to drive, when you're not in the mood of breaking any speed records.
Our S600 was originally sold to Netherlands with a price tag of 197,000€, now owned and used daily by its second owner, the car has full authorized MB workshop service history from the date of registration until today, and comes with all the original books and tags.
